Pecos River food webs
Our current research in this region is aimed at answering these questions:
How does the functional structure of fish and invertebrate assemblages change with environmental variation in the Pecos River network?
How do carbon sources and trophic diversity within local aquatic food webs change along the longitudinal gradient of the Pecos River?
What ecological role does the coastal, non-native Gulf Killifish (Fundulus grandis) play in invaded inland food webs?
This research program includes the thesis work of Jessica East and undergraduate research projects of Chris Wilcut, Jared Breaux, and Cassie Vaughan.
